This marks the first time where we've had help for a whole day, and admittedly, it has been a little nerve-wracking! Not that we don't trust Maria, Cari, and Sue. We totally do. But watching 3 infants for an entire day is much different than helping out at night while we go to dinner. We've done our best to minimize the amount of extra chores that they need to do so all they have to worry about is enjoying the babies...but even then- it's a lot of work to care for all 3 kids at once. Hence the reason we require babysitting to be done in pairs. Cari is helping all three days that Will is gone while Maria is leaving tomorrow morning as soon as Sue arrives to relieve her.
We drove home (probably to the point of annoyance) the importance of keeping them on schedule, and have likely called or texted to check in on them too often. And of course, the ladies are doing a great job and the boys adore all the attention they're getting! As evidenced by the photos and video below, the kids are all happy as can be!
This is a good test for our first planned trip where we will BOTH be away from the boys for our annual anniversary weekend- but we have a couple months to prepare for that. And by we, I clearly mean ME. I'm looking forward to having time away with Will, but I'm still pretty anxious/sad to be leaving the boys!

We're thankful to have family nearby who are willing to help us in a pinch so that Will can have a well-deserved break from day-in, day-out daddy duty.

Amen! for parenting breaks and helpful families. I can attest that battery recharge is miraculous.
