Backyard hanging
We took advantage of the gorgeous weather again this weekend and got the boys outside to play. On Friday evening Will played 9 holes while the boys and I hung out in the backyard and watched the golfers roll by. Thankfully they were well-behaved and stuck close to me the whole time. They haven't spent any time in the grass and you could tell they weren't sure what to think of it, which meant they all stayed right next to me on the sheet, which in turn meant that we were able to spend a good 1 1/2 hours enjoying the beautiful evening!
They want to get to add, but don't want to touch the grass!

Tonight we headed back outside for a bit. Cooper has really gotten the hang of standing on his own this weekend. A few days ago could hold himself up for a few seconds at a time, but he loves to practice and today he was staying up for 15-20+ seconds at a time! Griffin won't be too far behind- he can hold himself up for a couple seconds now, but is just as determined as Cooper to stand on his own. Will is not quite there yet but I predict he'll come around quickly once his brothers are expert standers and he sees how fun it is!
Such an appropriate shirt for Cooper today
Will's favorite way to smile these days

Cooper smiles the same way as Will- they love to crinkle their noses
Taking the plunge- the grass isn't so bad!

Next step: walking!
Cooper's shirt is extremely appropriate today. We had such a fun night last night- Will and I took advantage of happy babies who were content to hang out in the kitchen and play with us. We had a dance party and enjoyed a few beers (5! 5 beers! I literally can't even remember the last time I had that many beers in one sitting) and let the boys stay up about an hour past their bedtime.
Some video footage of our rockin' Saturday night:
Well, we paid for our good times. Will and I were in bed just after 11:00 pm, and Cooper woke us up at 3:00 am. For the day. He was perfectly content if we held him but he would scream and scream and scream if we tried to put him down. He got a bottle at 4:00 am and we grudgingly put him in bed with us at 5:00 am, where he fell asleep. Our first co-sleeping experience: we have never let them sleep in our bed with us until last night. Desperate times, man. We were soooo tired. I had to pump at 6:00 am, and Cooper woke up upset in our bed, so Will moved him back to his crib. I had hoped to catch another hour of sleep when I got back upstairs around 7:00, but little man was still screaming in his crib, and Baby Will was up for the day, too. Proof that babies can sense when parents cut loose and make sure that we pay for it. We had a long day, but hopefully Cooper is back on track and will sleep through the night again tonight. Zombie days like today are good reminders of how far we've come since the early months of having all three up at all hours. And they sure do make us grateful that nights like last night are very few and far between now!
